About

Founded in 1954 in the heart of the port of Civitanova Marche, the Rosati family's company was among the first to create footwear designed and combined with soles made of natural materials such as cork and wood, becoming the company's flagship product and a must-have even today.

In the following years, it expanded, launching a veritable fashion trend throughout the country and beyond, always maintaining the highest levels of product quality and innovation, so much so that it was contacted by major Italian fashion houses and internationally renowned designers. Since the 1970s, the company has been led by the creativity and unique skill of Leonardo Rosati, a renowned "artist" in the industry. He, supported by his two sons, Mirko and Francesco, has expanded the company into what it is today.

In 2004, Mirko began lending his talents as a pattern maker, stylist, and shoe sole and shoe technician to other companies, and, together with his family, provided prototyping, collections, and consulting services. At the end of 2006, the urgent need to offer his own creations arose, and thus DUCA D'ASCALONA was born!

In the early years, the brand enjoyed a strong presence in the high-end markets of Northern Europe with its fashionable men's shoes. In 2014, it reaffirmed its position on the Italian market, launching its first summer line of clogs and sandals for men and women, aiming to dominate the market. Today, the company continues to successfully create Duca d'Ascalona collections, offering increasingly ambitious, distinctive designs designed for Italy's leading footwear and clothing boutiques.

His creations use noble materials such as wood, cork, microporous and rubber mixed with materials from strictly Italian tanneries: soft and greased leathers, fabrics with a vintage flavour, suede and leather, so as to obtain not only a product, but a shoe that reflects a lifestyle with a unique and strong personality.

One of the company's strong points is its sixty-year-old factory, where, with its knowledge and experience, new ideas are given free rein, always aiming for innovation and true "Made in Italy" manufacturing.
